Make it a rockin' week! —Jac

On the podcast:

This week I'm talking to Joy Beckerman, Principal Consultant at Hemp Ace International, a New York-based consulting, legal support, expert witness, and brokerage firm serving the global community. Joy has an extensive dual career as a compliance and complex civil litigation paralegal, and her vast professional and hemp experience well serves her roles as an respected effective advisor and leader in shaping law, policy, standards, and ethics in the rapidly developing hemp industries. She is the President of the Hemp Industries Association and sits on the National Board of Directors of NORML.

In the episode, we chat about the recently introduced Hemp Farming Act of 2018 (brought forth by by U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, and Oregon’s Democratic Sens. Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley), the lay of the land on current federal industrial hemp laws and developments, why the legal definition of industrial hemp is so important, and the wide array of industries that American hemp agriculture can impact (more thank you think!). Joy is THE go-to expert on these topics and is always in the know on the latest in this rapidly changing landscape.
